The food was really good we had both herring buffet and open sandwich buffet. We thought the food met or exceeded expectations and the only service was lacking due to lack of staff compared to how busy it was in the restaurant. I felt bad for our waitress .

The receptionist at my hostel recommended this place to me as a suitable place to enjoy both inexpensive and authentic Danish food, as I'm on a tight budget and this is my first time in Denmark. Unfortunately, the only authentic part of the restaurant was the atmosphere: no one in the restaurant spoke Danish, making me unsure as to the quality of the food, as good as some of it was. I ordered the Lørom and Fried Pork Belly with Parsley Sauce. The Lørom was delicious and looked so good that I forgot to take a picture before eating as I was so hungry, but with only two small pieces of sourdough bread, it made eating the flaice, red onion, and lemon pureé very difficult. The fried pork belly was delicious: it tasted similar to bacon + pork rinds, but there was simply too much of it to eat, even with a hearty appetite. The potatoes that came with the pork rind were both too few relative to how many pieces of pork belly there were, and bland, with the parsley sauce (despite all the parsley visible in the picture) barely tasting like it you'd expect. It's my fault for not checking the Danish Krone to USD conversion before ordering, as I ended paying 78USD ($68 + $10 tip, which I was surprised to see a tip section in Denmark), where in my opinion the food was worth no more than 30USD. I'm trying not to let this experience spoil my first time in Denmark, but I think next time I'll simply go to one of the Christmas markets and get a massive hotdog or bratwurst and drink for less than $15. Overall: The staff were very nice, despite no one being Danish. While food was alright, it was not worth the price, and had unbalanced portions. Though, the atmosphere was impeccable inside.

Great place to eat, but 3 Smorrebrod and a bottle of still water at 425 DKK for us Italians can already be a considerable sum. Furthermore, watch out for the water, not seeing it listed on the menu I thought it was free, but for a bottle it is 50 DDK. Definitely too much. However, the place is very beautiful because it overlooks the canal and this is absolutely an advantage. To have a meal with typical dishes I would recommend this restaurant.

Nice place, welcoming atmosphere. It was recommended to us by the guide, an Italian guy who lives here. The herring buffet is excellent, cooked in many different ways, good value for money. The meatball dish, however, was poor.

Fresh produce that tastes amazing on baked bread. Very filling and leaves you wanting to come back for another visit. A simple meal that was made with such care. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and took time to explain things if they were asked a question. The atmosphere is inviting and welcoming. A perfect place to just sit and watch the world go by. It's a nice place to dine alone or a nice first date spot. Check it out and find out what you have been missing, especially if you're a local resident.

Ordered the traditional Danish Meatballs…it was like Christmas in my mouth. 🎄 Highly recommend this place and this dish. Reasonably priced dinner! Nice fireplace and candles on the old Danish tables. Please do yourself a favor and eat here!!! 🇩🇰❤️🇩🇰

Absolutely lovely true Danish dining experience. The service was very friendly, everyone accommodated us and spoke English to us, very friendly and welcoming staff. The FOOD was to die for! Massive portion of Christmas duck meal, with red cabbage, plums and sugar glazed potatoes. Perfection was achieved with that meal. Absolutely recommend when looking for a nice Danish restaurant. They even let us book a table for 8 people only an hour before we arrived. Great place 10/10

The restaurant is located in the prime area, Nyhavn harbour near the travel boat pier. Famous dishes are meatball with gravy and roast beef. Appetizer is chicken pie. Last is dessert, chocolate brownie with ice cream.
