One of the best bike shop and mechanics in Copenhagen area. They are class!

Can only recommend Joel and his crew. Skilled and enthusiastic mechanics who have been here throughout time. If you are into vintage bicycles, there are a handful of people and businesses that you would very much like to shop at in Copenhagen, and Velovintage is one of them. Joel gets his hands on a lot of unique parts and bikes in fantastic condition and sells them at great prices. These offers are posted in the velovintage group on Facebook, from where I myself have purchased and fitted a full suntour gear group as well as Selle saddles with Gazelle logo panto. Don't know where else I could get hold of this within Denmark. You are offered to come for a service with your bike after purchase, but I have not yet needed it, only to give the chain a cloth and a little oil every now and then. Gears are still accurate. He is familiar with other people and businesses that sell vintage bikes and gear, and has spoken well of several foreign people I have shopped with. If you have any questions about my experiences with velovintage, I'll probably be at one of their stock sales in the future, need some parts.. :-)

Nice shop specializing in steel bicycles. Happened to pass by and had to take a look. Could hear that the staff showed what they were talking about, so we had a nice chat, without me feeling like they were out to push me. Coming back soon when it's spring, the bike is due for an upgrade.

In September I bought a nice old racer from VeloVintage, which I expected to be very happy with. Although the bike was old, I was assured that all parts were in the same condition as if they were new, but unfortunately this was not true. After a few months the bike flatted and when a nearby bike dealer had changed the tube he told me that the tires were incredibly worn and that I should get them replaced immediately as I could expect more flats before long. I found that curious, as I just remembered being told that almost every part of the bike was retained from the original, especially the tires, which were brand new. I then called Velovintage because I wanted to go to them to make use of my right of complaint. Unfortunately they were moving shop and I was told I had to wait two weeks. Meanwhile, after pumping up my tires, my rear wheel popped out. Unfortunately, I live far from Velovintage, so I took the bike to my local bike smith. Here I was told that the tires were so old that they simply could not be stuck and it ended up costing me DKK 750. (On top of the DKK 5,000 that I paid for a bicycle in supposedly perfect condition) Subsequently, I was told that since I had used another bicycle dealer, my right to complain had lapsed. I can basically relate to that, but when they have actually sold me a bike with tires so old that they couldn't sit on the bike, then maybe you should reassess your positions. I am deeply dissatisfied and cannot recommend anyone to buy a bike here.

I placed my order between Christmas and New Year, more precisely on 28.12.18. Due to several problems with their supplier, today 16.01.19 I finally received my item. First it was the pedals that were missing from their supplier, then the bell... I was in continuous dialogue with the owners, who could tell time and time again that I would soon receive the package. When I received my package today, I was a little disappointed to see how it was packed... Several of my items had been scratched and I now face a round of polishing the various parts. The store has a good foundation for improvements, one piece of advice could be to get a handle on your supplier "They'll get started right after the holidays", was the message from the boss, but it doesn't hold up in my world, cykelgear.dk delivered order after 3 working days. .. Yes actually I ordered a package from Canada at the same time as I shopped on the Velovintage website and it arrived last week. Then there was the bell, which Velovintage had overlooked on my order, so it also had to be ordered home first... And no track and trace number, and not securely packed together. All in all, we land on 2 stars. One to receive my item, the other for the ongoing dialogue with the boss.

They are two very cycling-enthusiastic and -talented people who you are met and served by at Velovintage. I myself have bought three lovely steel bicycles. Coffee and robber stories always make it a pleasure + the sight of the beautiful and well-maintained "veteran bikes" you can never get tired of.

Really good service and handling of my bike problems. I came in with a bike that was missing a bit of everything, it now runs like a dream 🙏🏻 There were a few problems with them missing some spare parts which took some time to order but otherwise everything was good.
