Din Bil Syd did a troubleshooting on our Audi Q7, which took them three and a half days to realize they couldn't connect to the engine control unit. They claimed that the car is tuned. Apparently there is "absolutely nothing" they can do to diagnose a problem with a car that has a tuned ECU because the only thing their auto mechanic knows how to do is download data from a computer and follow step by step guidance from VW. But they forced us to pay SEK 2,000 for the incomplete troubleshooting even though they don't have the tools, skills or desire to do the kind of troubleshooting that a proper auto mechanic would. The service manager was very quick to threaten to impound our car permanently when I questioned him about the exorbitant cost, forcing us to move our car from their locked facility. We still paid but we shouldn't have. Although the man at the front desk is delightful, Din Bil Syd as an organization are smug and arrogant, and they have a completely clueless car repair shop. The service we received on previous visits to Din Bil/Audi Helsingborg has been just as hopeless. If you have anything more than a minor problem with your car, don't go here. They can trick you and threaten to keep your car if you ask for an unreasonable charge.
