We passed by this restaurant and decided to have lunch here. We did not make a reservation and were very fortunate to get a table because someone had canceled their reservation. It was our first time eating danish food and we had asked for recommendations, and they were very friendly and gave us suggestions on what we could order. They served us a complimentary shot of liquor as we sat down. It was a nice start! We ended up going for a herring platter and one open faced sandwich each. The herrings were really good!!! The open faced sandwiches were also good, they were not stingy with the toppings! We left with a full belly

Very friendly staff with very yummy Smørrebrød. We had the 4 herings, a roast beef and a cheese one and it was totally enjoyable. Next time we definitely will be visit again this place.

Booked this beautiful restaurant for our last meal before heading home to London and weren't disappointed. The food, atmosphere, staff and drinks all exceeded expectations. The steak was cooked to perfection and the portions are large which is just what was needed after walking around this wonderful city. Both my husband and I really enjoyed a relaxed meal talking about our time in Copenhagen. The staff made us feel welcome and showed interest in where we are from and what we have been doing with our weekend. I would highly recommend the Steak, Roast Pork and if room. The pancakes. A stunning way to finish our meal. Thank you to all the staff for making our last meal in Copenhagen one to remember.

Recommended by our hotel reception staff on the day we arrived in Copenhagen from the UK. We didn't know what to expect but it looked nice from the outside and lots of people eating inside so we thought we'd give it a try. We hadn't booked a table but they managed to fit us in. It got much busier after we sat down. So I do think we were lucky to get in. The staff member who greeted us and led us to our table was so lovely. He explained how the menu is sorted into fish courses and meat courses. Fish first, then meat in Denmark. The food was fabulous. Well presented and very tasty indeed. We ordered far too much but then were guided by another member of staff on how much to order. We could have managed with much less over a lunchtime but no worries. Definitely worth eating here.

The environment is nice, they also offer you a bitter at the beginning of the evening. Pretty good food. Booking is recommended because it is very crowded, but you can also do it online on their website

Very cozy and delightful experience! Visited with friends on a busy Wednesday evening, and we were thankful for our prior reservation. The enticing aroma upon entering was a great start, and the complimentary shot and warm smiles from the staff made us feel welcome. The meal that followed was exceptionally satisfying and heartwarming. I took the fried veal liver (Stegt kalvelever med bløde løg, kartofler og skysauce), which was a delightful surprise, and my friends also enjoyed their meals very much. The complimentary snaps added warmth to the experience, and the friendly staff made it even better. In short, it was a wonderful evening with great food and service. Highly recommended!

Difficult to find a place in Copenhagen without having booked, but the staff found us a little corner (unfortunately near the door). Excellent food (recommended the roast of beef accompanied by various vegetables and sauces, the meat melted in your mouth). Very kind, quick and friendly staff. At the end of the dinner they also offered us a fernet branca. Absolutely must try!

Perfect Dinner evening! Very good Danish food at fair prices. We highly recommend the herring plate for starters. Also the main courses (plaice dish, steak dish) were very tasty. Portions have a good size. Value for money for Copenhagen is excellent. Nice and comfortable atmosphere. Service outstanding and helpful, we were greeted with a shot on the house. Very busy, a reservation is highly recommended. We will definitely come again when returning to Copenhagen!
