If what TeaterSpektrum does was a work of art, then their performances are a masterpiece! Over the past six years, I have collaborated with TeaterSpektrum, as a regular part of my communication about professional relationship skills in the school world. With the forum theater method, TeaterSpektrum helps connect my research and my presentations to the concrete, daily practice of teachers and pedagogues in a lively and highly professional way. Spektrum plays situations with major dilemmas, e.g. between individual and community, and then the participants are actively involved in how to act relationally competent to support each child's well-being and the learning community of the class. TeaterSpektrum's process manager refers to the theories I have presented to the participants with enthusiasm, and thus creates coherence and clarification of the theories in practice. It is clear that Spektrum's contribution does something good for the participants every time - for their commitment, joint reflections and nuanced views on children and practice. A teacher came up to me one day with tears in her eyes during the break after forum theater and said that she had never before felt so seen in relation to the complexity of her job. I am in awe of Spektrum's ability, and if what they do was a work of art, then their performance is a masterpiece!
