Beautiful hotel next to the beach with nice garden. But there is no service here. You need to checkin and check out at another hotel of the same brand one block away.

Overnight accommodation is possible here, but I did not use it this time. Was here to enjoy the good weather and side in the garden in good company. There are good both options here. The beach is close by. There is good service in the bar. Definitely a place that can be recommended. We had dinner at the local restaurant in Hornbæk Hus.

We experienced music in the garden and a stone's throw from the sea. Nice place and fantastic location in Hornbæk.

Villa Strand from Hornbækhus - once and never again The minimum size of a German prison cell must not be less than 6 to 7 square meters per prisoner, otherwise it is considered inhumane and the prisoners must be released. In Hornbæk, in the offshoot of the renowned Hotel Hornbækhus, you pay 215 EUR (1600 DKK) per night for a “hotel cell” that is less (!) than 10 square meters for two people - they very creatively call it a “queen double room”. When you open the door you are already standing in front of the bed, the doormat also serves as a bed rug. Admittedly, more effort was put into setting it up than is usual in prisons. It's clean (apart from the black mold spreading in the joints) and the bed is good, although too narrow for couples who don't want to lie on top of each other all night. It's best to travel without luggage, as apart from a narrow window sill there are no - I repeat - no storage space; neither for a wash bag, a bedspread and certainly not for one, let alone two suitcases. The wet room is cleverly thought out: when you shower, you flood the entire floor evenly so that you can wash your feet while you go to the toilet - or vice versa. The shower is a bit tight at 40 cm, so the shower curtain always sticks to your bottom. Thanks to the sound-transmitting water installation, you can check at any time how much the neighbors have drunk or how long they are showering (although I'm just wondering why you even have to shower at 2:30 in the morning). Thankfully the windows face the inner courtyard. This reduces the risk of unwanted visitors at night, since in order to avoid suffocation you have to leave the window wide open without any possibility of tilting or locking it (the former stable, or perhaps it was a garage for small cars, is on the ground floor). . For reasons of space, bedside rugs were omitted, as were nightstands, shelves or sockets near the bed. Of course, you have to do without hotel standards such as a telephone, television or minibar or any kind of hotel service at this bargain price. At least there is WiFi, but it's too slow for smooth Netflix. You can also skip the included run-of-the-mill breakfast - thin coffee (not a cappuccino) and boiled eggs, which you have to eat with a straw one day and with a hammer and chisel on another. The whole thing is rounded off by the complete inability of the (many) employees to get breakfast on the table within 45 minutes. Every Bed’n’Brekfast accommodation is more comfortable and only costs half as much on the beach in Hornbæk. Everyone who booked in time also knows this. Unfortunately for us spontaneous travelers the only thing left was this rip-off. We would love to come back to this beautiful beach - but definitely never to this hotel again.

Beautiful and cozy place close to the water The food comes from Hotel Hornbækhus, which is fantastic
