Incredibly unpleasant to park in front of the shop and the owner comes out and chases you away from the public car park. It doesn't make you want to visit the store anyway.

The owner of Esrum Antik Peter Hassing kicked me out of his shop and scolded me over and over. Why? Because one year at Christmas time I unfortunately didn't have time to pick up an item that I had put aside. On Sunday, August 31, I drove out to Peter Hassing's small antique shop: Esrum Antik. I had barely entered the door before Søren Hassing scolded me for not having picked up an item that I had put aside a year ago at Christmas time. After listening to the reproaches, I said sorry. But it was not enough. The man continued to scold me. Finally I said if it wasn't him who was a little too hysterical. Those words got him right up in the red zone and I was kicked out of the business and told never to come back. So I stay away from both Søren Hassing's shop and Esrum. Bad customer service is contagious and imagine if I have to be treated in this sleazy way somewhere else in Esrum. No thanks. The review was written by journalist Henriette Bjarne Hansen

I bought a small cream jug online. When I receive it, unfortunately I can see a small damage on the back of the jug. The owner has not noticed the damage, which is however both visible and noticeable. I no longer trust this business.

The owner is absolutely charming and his store is full of pretty, original things. This allowed me to leave with memories of Denmark worthy of the name. Go visit this antique store, you will not be disappointed.
