Net place but was not open mid-day on a Saturday afternoon, we think due to a wedding.

Nice church

Beautifully situated and very well-maintained church with an exciting and deadly history. The church is built with twin towers, and is one of Zealand's oldest, and was built by the White family. The church is dedicated to St. Laurentius, which is reflected in the church's frescoes and in the schoolroom next to the church. The church is built of battle stone and frost stone.

My visit to the church is my interest in WW2 and crashed planes over Denmark during the war. Close to the cemetery's eastern entrance, 2 English pilots from the RAF are buried. On a field divide in the open country west of the church, a farm owner has set up a cross where their Mosquito plane crashed on 27 January. 1943.

It is an incredibly beautiful and historic church, but we attended a slightly different service.
