Tom Christiansen has supplied built-in shelving and cupboards, bathroom furniture, sliding doors and ordinary doors. The drawers on the bathroom module cannot close. The sliding doors cannot move. The veneer on the doors is falling off. The shelves in the cupboards are too thin and therefore split. We have asked Tom Christiansen to finish the work, and in that connection had deposited 10% of the contract sum in an escrow account for final release when the work was finished. This has never happened and Tom Christiansen obviously thinks that this was equivalent to a settlement that if we kept 10% of the money he did not have to complete the work, as he could see that this was time-consuming and the profit on the project was thereby reduced. There was no question of a settlement. Just a message from Tom Christiansen that he would not finish the work. A very boring experience that we would have liked to have been without.
