I recently dined at Gaarden, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The service was notably poor, with our starter arriving after a prolonged wait of 40 minutes. While the dish was palatable, the excessively strong horseradish sauce dominated the other flavors, detracting from the overall taste. The main course further compounded our disappointment. We endured a wait of over an hour, during which time we observed other tables, seated after us, receiving their meals ahead of ours. Although the waiter did offer a complimentary glass of wine and apologies for the delay, it did little to ameliorate our frustration. To our dismay, when our main course finally arrived, the duck was undercooked. Furthermore, the issues didn't end with the main course. Anticipating a chance for redemption with dessert, our patience was tested yet again with another delay. The dessert, much awaited, took an unreasonably long time to be served, exacerbating our already dwindling satisfaction. This consistent pattern of delays throughout each course not only reflected poorly on the restaurant's efficiency but also significantly diminished our dining experience. Such recurrent service issues, unfortunately, overshadowed the quality of the food itself. In conclusion, despite the waiter's attempt to reconcile the situation, the overall experience was disheartening. The prolonged wait times, coupled with a disappointing main course, unfortunately, make it difficult for me to recommend this restaurant.

I am deeply frustrated and disappointed with the service we received. The duck was undercooked, and despite being here for over two hours, we have yet to receive our dessert. It's infuriating to watch others, who arrived long after us, being served promptly and enjoying their meals. Even after receiving a complimentary glass of wine, it's clear that the staff has completely neglected our table. This is unacceptable and has completely ruined our dining experience.

I consider myself a difficult diner especially when I am travelling, but this place was a wonderful experience. There is nothing I can fault. They catered to my vegetarian and gluten free requirements, and even though I felt sheepish and didn't want any special treatment, they insisted to allow them to cater to my needs. The food was amazing, flavourful and varied. The service was kind, considerate and timely. The lady who served us, Reka, was very helpful, went out of her way to translate in detail the menu, and made efforts to make the experience without fault. The atmosphere was quiet and calm, enough for us to have a good evening. We never felt rushed, only welcomed. I will definitely be returning at my next opportunity. Recommended. Thank you

Fantastic food and the Social Dining option is really super value for money!

We got a very delicious tasting menu, consisting of 4 dishes. All very delicious and well prepared. Friendly and good service. It was a bit quiet when we were there, hence the 3 stars for atmosphere. The acoustics were quite good, I had expected it to be not so good when you first see the room. We got quite a good Romanian white wine, not something I know of. But it surprised positively. Definitely a place worth visiting, we will definitely be back.

It took about 50 minutes before we got the food and you got both dishes at the same time, it was way too expensive and I didn't like any of the food, but the waiters were good

Nice service and excellent dishes, although without so much taste. If there had been salt and pepper on the table, the mushroom toast would probably have had a few rounds. The main course "Long-braised welfare pig" was unfortunately tough and with many tendons in it - Mine was downright inedible. It was on the 7th day of Dining Week with the same menu served several times a day, so you'd think it would be sitting right in the cupboard by then. I probably could have had another, but I figured the others would have finished eating by then.
