Fresh seasonal local ingredients prepared by a dedicated staff that makes you feel like hour in their home. I had the summer menu which is light flavors more veggies then meat. The fresh bread made partially with potatoes also good. Seating is one long table for the entire restaurant with a capacity that looked to be 20-22 total so do book ahead of time. Also prepare to talk to your seating neighbors as it is cozy and close quarters. Unique experience climbing spiral stairs for 3-4 stories from the outside to reach a magical roof garden. (There is a elevator that can be sent down too just call them). Portions are small so good for those one diets too.

My partner and I enjoyed a long awaited evening service here. We couldn’t wait to come after our friends recommended it to us. We love the concept - sustainability is at the top of their focus and everything is sources locally. Food was impeccable and the space was intimate and cosy. Their natural wine selection was to my liking as well :) Special thanks to Emmi, the restaurant manager who took such great care of us throughout the night. Also, make sure to get up to the top of the stairs for a full view of the beautiful urban farm!

What an absolutely lovely experience! Such a brilliant concept sitting in a greenhouse in the middle of the most beautiful rooftop garden, eating amazing new Nordic food, drinking exciting natural wines, talking to fabulous people who have sought out the same unique experience. Just amazing!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Loved the local and sustainable menu. Stunning flavors! And unsusual rooftop experience. Authenticity and relaxed, yet amazing and high quality. Warmly recommended.

My second time visiting Gro after managing to get a last minute dinner booking for myself a year ago… This time I decided to go back with a friend and we decided the brunch menu fitted into our day. Everything is thoughtfully laid out, the atmosphere is perfect having everyone start together. Food is locally sourced and decorated with flowers & herbs from the garden. It is a beautiful spot, and breakfast is a typical “Danish type” with plenty of food so you won’t leave hungry! Staff are lovely and friendly, everything is explained really well + a chance after the meal to learn about the rooftop garden and it’s purpose to help the community.

One of our favourite restaurants in Copenhagen. They have different chefs each time and a new set menu. Always high quality food and service. Great roof top hangout in the summer in the urban farm.

I really wanted to like this place, because it is such a rare and unique restaurant. However, most of our company left the restaurant hungry. The food was decent - above average. I've had better gastronomic experiences (eg. Safari or Lamar to name a few) for a more reasonable price. I really dug the concept (homegrown veggies and herbs), which I guess you pay an extra price for. So bit disappointed to get informed that most of the produces are sourced from local farmers (seasonality and stuff). Not that big a difference from most restaurants in CPH in that price range. The food was alright, but again the portions were too small. I think in total we had about 100g of fish and shellfish, which is the main protein source and is suppose to make you feel full. The bread was amazing. But I'd like if it had been served to most if not all dishes instead of just one. The wine was also only decent. The cava (200 dk/bottle) was tasteless, the white (400 dk/bottle was alright, but the orange (600 dk/bottle) was pretty grwat. The service was attentive and nice. They were good to quickly alter a few dishes due to shell fish allergy, that we forgot to mention. So big ups for that. I think the laid back service is a matter of preference. For me it almost became too casual. But they were nice people, who did their job. Nothing more, nothing less. So to sum it up, overpriced but interesting and unique experience.
