A bit of a practice experience. I had my car inspected by Quickauto and a bill came afterwards which was quite spicy. The money was no problem to pay. But since I had a bad feeling in my gut about the situation, I took my car to another workshop which examined it. They gave a completely different explanation and bill! It was just 5% of that bill instead of the entire amount. All that was needed was cleaning and polishing instead of replacing the entire jetty. I'm not a mechanic so I can't judge who is right or wrong. But the workshop I went to instead expressed that I was probably being cheated into replacing something that wasn't really necessary but just required a little care.

Got a quote on what needed to be done to my car. A total of DKK 10,000. My mechanic friend suggested I drive elsewhere as the things on the list sounded improbable. Handed the car and the list over to a workshop that several people in my network can vouch for - here I ended up paying DKK 2,400 for changing the timing belt, a few lamps and small things. The rest they said there was absolutely no reason to replace or fix anything.

The mechanic said it would take about half an hour to install winter tires. 1 hour and 15 minutes later I had to interrupt Danni, who was helping another customer who came after me, to be allowed to pay..

Really good and fast service. My car ran like a dream after being in the hands of the competent mechanics. I only have good things to say about the workshop.
