When we booked this place we were promised 11 Group rooms (Which was the main reason why we decided to go for this place). As soon as we arrived we found out, that we would only have around half of those rooms because the rest was locked and the Caretaker was not allowed to open them for us. Next to this blatant and outrageous false advertisement the Owners of the Efterskole deactivated AC which meant that anytime anyone used the Sports facilities it was blazing hot. They also demounted several film projectors and didnt give us access to the canvas in the gym so that our group had to sit very squeezed together anytime we wanted to watch anything. We only found out a couple of days before we went there that we would have no Duvets and that we had to bring our own (which was also advertised to us falsely). In addition to that it is quite obvious that the school spent all their money rather on good looks and Pupil Surveillance than on comfort for the people living there. The open areas like the corridors and the dining room look fabulous but the sleeping rooms are ugly and uncomfortable and it was hard for any of us to imagine that some people would live there for up to 9 months a year. In every Corridor and on the outside there are cameras everywhere which confirms some other google reviews that there is absolutely ZERO trust in the student-teacher relationships there. In addition to all of this, the rooms were infested with vermin such as Silverfish etc. when we arrived and we had to spend some time to get rid of them with toilet paper before we put our clothes in the wardrobes. The Owners seem to be extremely untrusting people who invested into a nice facade for the school but did not put any ressources towards their students comfort or well being. The cameras everywhere make this house feel like a prison and the false advertisement and obvious lack of trust towards paying visitors made it clear to us, that none of us would ever consider coming back here again with any other group.

We were able to spend a wonderful youth camp here last week. There is a gymnasium with good equipment, a lot of lawn with benches to relax in, a meeting room, a large dining room, gymnastics equipment outside, table tennis and much more. Our kitchen team was also very pleased with the equipment. The location by the sea is great, it's only a 45 minute walk there and 25 minutes to Netto. Unfortunately I have to deduct 2 stars because the home was cleaner when I left than when I arrived. In fact, everything was full of spiders, silverfish and other small creatures. The rooms are very sparsely furnished, broken chests of drawers, which you can ignore, but the fact that the mattress is so uncomfortable that you can feel the iron bars in it is neither good for your back nor for the reputation of the home. So if you ignore the furnishings in most of the rooms, a few of which have been renovated, then the home is extremely recommendable for groups.

Fantastic post-secondary school with committed teachers and a really good and developing community. Definitely “a year for life” and the best reviews from here!

We, the company Efter-Gruppen-Reisen, have the Gribskov Efterskole in our program and rent it out to, among other things, church communities that want to hold a youth camp there. We receive consistently positive feedback from the leaders of these groups that Gribskov is a great school. We didn't have any complaints. I'm all the more surprised at the reviews that were given here 9 months ago, apparently by a few dissatisfied participants in a group that booked the school through us last year. I had no negative feedback from the leaders of this group and they cannot confirm the deficiencies. So I think it's a shame that these participants are now trying to bring the school into disrepute because of their own frustration. They are not students there, but have “just” spent some free time there and therefore cannot judge how students like it there or how they feel there. The number of group rooms is also correctly reflected in our description. Anyone who can read has a clear advantage here. You certainly have to give the young people credit for the fact that they are not aware of what harm they can do with their writing. My resume: I will recommend this school because it is definitely worth it.

That Gribskov Efterskole is one of the many fantastic after-schools in Denmark was fully proven during and after the Corona shutdown in the spring of 2020. Both management and teachers made a huge effort to create fun activities and keep up the spirits of the students who were upset not being able to be at school from March until well into May. All students and parents were asked how the students were feeling, and despite the despondency of some students, the management at the school did not stop believing that a return to school would probably be opened. When it was finally possible to come back to school, a super intro week was arranged for the new reality at school. The students understood that they had a shared responsibility for a good time at school, and the last 6 weeks ended up being absolutely fantastic despite the distance requirements. Thanks to you!

I am a current student at vrikskov. personally didn't think the school was great by any means. the teachers lack trust in the students, and better handling of a conflicts/petties from the students. there is so much mistrust that there are cameras in all the corridors, which means you cannot move outside your room without being watched. if there is a suspicion of a breach of the rules, the drivers check the cameras. I personally found it uncomfortable to think that you are constantly being watched. there is a lack of arrangement effort on the part of the teachers. the teachers didn't really feel like one's friends but more like a kind of guards. There is not much of creativity at school, despite the fact that there is an elective subject that goes up to it. the student types are very North Zealand-like, and nothing wrong with that. the students are the main reason why this post-secondary school is actually ok. if you are a prospective student, or someone who is considering going here. then you should probably consider whether these circumstances will be a problem

The accommodation is very rancid. Some animals in drawers and you feel like you are being monitored because cameras are installed in the hallways. The toilet areas and showers are disgusting. I do not recommend this boarding school!

I probably have nothing to do with the after-school, but I read about your handling of the students who have not thoroughly familiarized themselves with the school's values. I think you have acted completely correctly in what you have done, if the lines were not drawn up sharply, what will it not end with, it is in the after-schools and the homes that the foundation must be laid so that the students can develop to their advantage citizens. I hope the parents of the affected elves do not disagree with you, because then we are already on a slippery slope. GH West Jutland
