Super service.

I strongly advise against Hyrup & Nielsen! I had booked a service for my Bmw 535d at Hyrup & Nielsen yesterday, 5/2-2024, at 12:30. I handed the car over to the reception at the agreed time, after which I sat down in the waiting room to wait for the service to be carried out. When it was approx. At 13:30 I started to wonder why it took so long, I thought it was probably just because they were vacuuming the car or similar, normally an oil change takes no more than 10-15 minutes. Unfortunately, I was badly surprised when Peter (one of the owners) came out into the waiting room, after which he said "come on over here, this is not good" - it's not exactly the phrase you want to hear when your car is in workshop. I am followed to my car, which is on a lift, after which Peter shows me that the thread for the bottom plug up in the sump is completely ground. At first I become a little speechless, after which I wonder how this can happen. Peter claims that this is completely normal and can easily occur with repeated removals of the bottom plug. Peter now explains to me that he will now make an offer for a new sump fitted, and that I can just sit in the waiting room and wait until it is ready. Peter enters the waiting room shortly afterwards and explains that they will now try to repair the thread. They spend half an hour on this, after which he comes out and says that unfortunately it could not be done and that there is now only one way out and that is called a new sump. Peter now presents me with an offer of DKK 13,700 for replacing the sump + oil change of a further DKK 2,000-2,500. I am speechless and now ask for 5 minutes to collect my thoughts. I walk around for a few minutes and am frustrated to have booked a simple oil change for my car for approx. DKK 2000-2500, which has now ended up in a bill of approx. DKK 16,000. It is now close to 3:00 p.m., and I ask Peter for a loaner car, and tell him that I would like to think this through and get back to him on Tuesday morning. The more I think about this incident, the more it amazes me that this thread could have been destroyed by carefully unscrewing the bolt and putting it back in. It must be said that my car has driven NOK 138,000 and the car has had at most 8-10 oil changes in its lifetime. I would think that a simple bolt in a sump should easily last several oil changes without destroying the thread. I am convinced that the mechanic who carried out the repair on my car mistakenly overtightened the bolt on the sump, after which the thread was destroyed. It must be said that oil changes on the car have only been carried out by Hyrup & Nielsen, as well as other authorized Bmw dealers, i.e. no backyard workshops. On Tuesday morning I call Peter again and explain to him that I am very dissatisfied with this situation and that I am very confused about the bill that I have been presented with. Had there been a fault with the bottom plug as Peter tells me, then the mechanic should have shown this to me before it was removed and not when it is suddenly not possible to get it tight anymore. I tell Peter that I expect them to repair the damage they have caused to my sump, of course without charge. Peter flatly rejects this and tells me that the best he can do is to send me an updated offer with a slight discount. The new offer is now ticking into my email and is now DKK 9,125, which is still approx. NOK 7,000 more than the oil change that I originally came to have done. I am naturally not satisfied with this and call Peter and propose a settlement where I pay for a new sump (which I didn't really think was fair) and that Hyrup & Nielsen installed it free of charge. This is rejected. The story ended with me having Falck drive the car to another workshop, and will never put my friends at Hyrup & Nielsen again. Think before you choose a workshop, unfortunately not everyone is equally honest in this industry. Thomas

Fantastic experience. Everything has been done to a high standard. And was finished on time. Since I am incredibly tender towards my BMW, it has ended up in the right hands. And I probably have a higher attitude than most people in DK in terms of how to treat your things, and BMW in Lynge fits in well with that.

Came in after hitting an animal. After about 10 minutes the damage was inspected, and a further 10 minutes later I had a loaner car handed over. In the middle of the summer holidays, it's really nice.

Air damper defective after service at another workshop. They disclaim responsibility for the defect and 'recommend' replacement for a new one for just over DKK 1,500. Peter Nielsen repaired it without hesitation and in less than 10 minutes - for NOK 0 and a smile. This is not the last time I visit the boys in Vassingerød/Lynge!

Rarely, if ever, have I been so pleased with a car dealership. Incredibly good mechanics, a great place to come and the car we got is also excellent. Class.
