In general the experience was super good! We stay at the hotel so decide to give it a try for dinner. The flavors and the presentation were super cool also the risotto was delicious Fair prices for CPH standards and kind service.

Stayed at the AC recently while in Copenhagen given its proximity to the airport. Decided to grab a late and last minute dinner at BASALT. Overall, the food was good. I especially enjoyed my entree. It was a fish dish. Don’t remember which …halibut, perhaps?!? Service, on the other hand, was horrible. My waiter gave the impression he didn’t want to serve my table. I was very observant during the night given that I immediately got this cold vibe from him upon being seated. I had to flag him down and ask for water after having been seated for 10+ minutes. I noticed this wasn’t an issue with his other nearby tables. I asked a question about wine and it was as if he didn’t even want to respond. When he arrived with my wine, he immediately started pouring a full glass. Didn’t even allow me the opportunity to taste it. I’m Black. My waiter was Black. Yet, he was more than attentive towards his white customers. It didn’t go unnoticed. The food was good, but due to the service I don’t believe I’d return.

Best Hotel restaurant I have ever experienced! An unusual smoky aroma will hit you as soon as you come inside in the evening, and the cosy yet open space has a really nice vibe. Staff were all excellent, attentive and friendly. Then also the food, wow! We visited for a conference and ate 3 nights here we enjoyed so much.

During my solo trip to Copenhagen, I stayed at the AC Hotel Bella Sky. Restaurant Basalt is conveniently located inside the hotel. I visited the restaurant with no preconceived notions. I didn't even open the menu. I allowed the waiter to choose my courses as well as the wine pairing. This was one of the most flavorful meals that I've ever tasted. I was so impressed by the quality of ingredients and the chef's attention to detail. The prices were great too. I would have been more than willing to pay twice as much. The meal, the ambiance, the ingredients, the waiters, and the chef all deserve 5 stars!

It was an great evening, felt like an family evening. We got the chef's table and so we participate in the wonderful kitchen interaction. The 5 course menu was a nice stroll through the menu. Wonderfully combined with a great selection of wines. Totally 5 star evening! Thank you

Very good restaurant. The kitchen is open and you can see the chefs preparing the dishes on the open fire. Excellent steak! Good wine selection. A bit pricey but worth a visit.

Although the atmosphere is great, I had the worst duck dinner here during my stay at Bella Sky attending a conference. There was some sort of cabbage side which tasted so bad. The meal was watery. I had to hold myself together and admit that I had just lost my 60euros to scammers or something. I do not recommend. Overpriced and definitely not worth it. And worst of all they did not want to serve me at first because I was alone ...such poor service. They also judge if you are a black person. They won't attend to you and you can see the obvious disinterest. Yet they provide a better service on the table right next. If you have been judged before you know what I mean...definitely no go.

Great food and service. At least the tenderloin was really tender. I'd like a little bit of sauce, though.
